How do you feel when you see a vacant building?

What do you feel when you see a vacant building?

Do you feel sympathy for the small business owner who had to watch his dream die?

Do you feel sad about the vandalism and broken windows?

Do you feel concerned for your safety because of the people living in the building who don't have a "home" of their own?

Do you feel wistful for your favorite restaurant that had to close?

What do you FEEL when you see a vacant building?

Hi Will. Great meeting this morning at Small Biz Memphis. Thanks for your great contributions! When I see a vacant building it makes me FEEL that people are leaving the city and that crime is coming in. I hate that! Hope you can put good tenants in all the empty properties!- Don Lawler, Producer/Filmmaker www.DonLawlerFilms.com

Will-
When I see a vacant building it makes me feel like our city is in decline. That we vacate certain areas too quickly for the next best thing rather than overcome and maintain. I feel like the city is failing to stimulate propserity.

A vacant building is always depressing to me. It makes me think that the neighborhood is going down. Although sometimes I see a place and I think, someone is going to get a great spot, I just hope they know how to run a business! I am thinking of two empty restaurants right now that bother me every time I drive by!
